Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy gives you information on how National Performing Academy Ltd (NPA) collects, uses, and protects the personal data of Students, Parents, and site visitors, collected or submitted to us.

 

DATA COLLECTION

We only collect Data that is given to us voluntarily. For example, this may be through our website for prospective Students and their Parents when applying for enrolment. Further data may be collected when a Student registers for an audition or enrols in one of our courses.

DATA USE

We process your data only for legitimate interests. We retain your data for as long as needed, or until you request us to remove it. We may use your data to:

  • To answer enquiries.
  • To provide information to you efficiently.
  • To provide efficient Customer Service.
  • Exercise duty of care.
  • To ensure the Health and Safety of Students and Staff.
  • For the Safeguarding of Students.
  • To comply with any law that is necessary.
  • To distribute marketing and promotional material.
 

DATA RETENTION

Student data is only held if they are current members of NPA and, once a Student leaves, this data is then securely destroyed. The only reason data will be retained is if there are any outstanding fees, or if it is required for legal reasons.

Staff data is only held if they currently work for NPA, on leaving, this data is then securely destroyed, unless required for legal reasons.

If any names, email addresses, and other information is held for marketing purposes (such as an email newsletter), please unsubscribe if you wish to no longer receive marketing material.

DATA SHARING

We only use data internally when needed. It won’t be used for any other purpose, and it will NOT be passed onto any Third Parties, with the following exceptions:

  • To your Local Authority when required for Student performances.
  • To medical bodies in case of emergency.
  • For any legal requirement.
  • To any relevant bodies if exams are undertaken.
  • If NPA is sold to a new owner, then your data will be transferred to the new owner(s) to maintain consistency and customer service.
  • We may also share data with external parties (such as casting directors or production companies), but only with your written permission.Your rights
 

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access the personal information that we hold about you or your children. You can request this in person or via email: hello@performingacademy.co.uk

You have the right to change, stop us from processing, or delete this data. However, note that if certain information is deleted, this may compromise the membership of any affected Student. Please note that any changes will be implemented within fourteen (14) days from the initial request.

POLICY CHANGES

NPA reserves the right to make amendments to our Privacy Policy at any time, and will notify affected users.

VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY USAGE

Photographs and film footage will be taken of your child in both classroom and performance settings, to be used in online and offline marketing and publicity. When registering and enroling, you give us your consent to this within our Terms and Conditions (click here) where you also acknowledge that photos and film footage may still be used after your child has left NPA.

LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

All information held will be held for one of these bases Legitimate, Consensual and Contractual necessity.
